Metron is the largest non-hospital sub acute health system in the West Michigan area with 7 locations specializing in Long and Short term care with specialties in Cardiac, Pulmonary, and Orthopaedic rehabilitation.Our History: Metron Integrated Health Systems was started by Marvin L. Piersma in his quest to develop a premier healthcare organization which would put the healthcare needs of patients as its primary focus. Caring for People became the Metron Integrated Health Systems model and tagline.Metron continues to be a family-owned, family-oriented company and has been serving West Michigan for more than 40 years. Metron has added exceptional leadership to further enhance its clinical and regional operations services resulting in improved quality of care, customer satisfaction, and regulatory outcomes. We are continually improving the rehabilitation and skilled nursing services offered to our patients. Metron is also a leader in improving processes and efficiencies including being one of the first sub-acute rehabilitation organizations to fully implement a paperless business model including electronic medical records.We operate licensed sub-acute rehabilitation and healthcare campus in six communities throughout West Michigan. Each of these campuses includes a separate rehabilitation unit for recovery following surgery, illness or injury.We are a healthcare company that believes people do better physically, mentally and spiritually when they are as close to home as possible.
