Company Overview

The UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust (the “Trust”) provides health care benefits for retired UAW members of General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler, as well as their eligible dependents. The Trust was created under the 2007 collective bargaining agreements between the UAW and the three auto companies in which retiree health care liabilities were transferred to a new Voluntary Employees’ Beneficiary Association (VEBA). The Trust is an independent entity from General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, and the UAW, and is governed by an 11-member committee.
