CHOP

CHOP LLC was started in 2008 in West Michigan. CHOP is a sister company of PROCARE Landscape Management and started due to an employee at PROCARE whom had a yearning to get into the tree business. Over the winter of 2007 that employee began studying and by the Spring he had is Arborist Certification and we were off and running. In the summer of 2008, the business owner of Doug Herrema Tree Service approached us and wanted to see if we had interest in purchasing his assets and clients. Doug also wanted to ensure that his employees would also retain a position in the industry and sought out securing his employees’ futures with our company. We joined hands with the owner and he committed to working for us for 2 years during the transition. That owner is still employed with Chop today as he was able to find a renewed energy for the industry and strives to help develop others in his current role. He is our top Sales Representative, but his most important role is the mentoring he does with all our team members. Chop’s growth has been excellent since starting out in 2008 and since inception, has had positive growth each year. Over the last several years Chop’s growth has been even more significant.
