Grand Rapids Label Company was incorporated as a regional and local general printing company in 1884 (Seymour & Muir Printing Company), doing such things as Books, Flyers and Pennsylvania Railroad train schedules to name a few. In 1901 the company became Grand Rapids Label.
Grand Rapids Label Company started manufacturing die-cut, gummed and ungummed labels in the early 1900’s; produced roll/heat seal labels for the bakery industry in the 30’s; and started producing self-adhesive labels in rolls and sheets in the mid-1940’s.
Today GRL is a fourth generation, privately held company headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI serving North America while providing primarily the Industrial (Automotive), Consumer Packaging, and Distribution marketplaces with both labels and labeling systems.
