The Urban Science Wellness Committee’s mission is to promote, educate, and create opportunities for health and wellness regardless of fitness level. The Wellness Committee, by working together, creates an employee driven program that empowers employees and their families to recognize and optimize the synergy between mind, body and soul. Our Wellness Committee is representative of our employee population in terms of department, age, and gender. There are 27 employees on the committee and meetings are held once or twice a month depending on scheduling and the number of upcoming events. Occasionally sub-committees are formed to work on specific initiatives outside of regular meetings. Wellness Committee members are involved in creating our mission and vision, planning our events, creating flyers and email communications, gathering and providing event feedback, grassroots promotion of our events, and event setup and logistics.
