Nick Barber

Nick Barber graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a 1^st class degree in Law, frustrated with the job prospects for law grads in the UK at the time, he pursued a different track and joined Phaidon International as a Recruitment Consultant. Nick became a key person within the Procurement recruitment space in the London office, building out a strong book of clients across the DACH region of Europe before being offered the opportunity in 2013 to move to New York in order to help build Phaidon’s US business from the ground up.In January 2013, Nick and 6 other recruiters embarked on their biggest challenge of building a market from scratch, winning key accounts and harnessing relationships and partnerships with Fortune 100 organizations through to some of the hottest startups. Nick and the team grew the company substantially over the course of the next few years growing from 7 staff in 1 office, to now having over 260 staff across 5 offices around the US to offer clients regional staffing solutions, whilst maintaining the special culture, model and behaviors that made them so successful in the first place. Phaidon was recognized in the SIA’s Top 10 of Fastest Growing Staffing Firms in the US for 4 consecutive years.Nick stepped away from the New York office in 2017 in order to support the growth of the Boston office, and in the last 18 months has transformed an office of just 2 staff members into an office today of 27 staff who have helped over 250 candidates in the local region so far realize their potential and take on new dream jobs with some of our exceptional clients in the area.
