When it comes to burnout: overwork, micromanagement, and a lack of clear company values and praise systems are factors that need to be shifted, top-down. Leaders in our current social environment cannot be expected to have the tools necessary to guide their teams well. The upheaval wreaked havoc in their lives too. Take care of the leaders so the leaders can take care of their teams. From the employee perspective, boundaries have shifted massively as the world moved through the office, remote, and hybrid structures. It became the norm to feed children while on zoom calls and check e-mails while making breakfast. In this new world, empowering employees with clear, kind, and concise boundaries will help them to self-care and take some pressure off the leadership to make all the changes. Top-Down and Bottom-Up, the best changes happen together.Presented by Caitlin Donovan
